VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – A person riding an electric scooter was critically injured after being hit by a car.

According to Virginia Beach Police, they were called to the scene of a crash involving an electric scooter just before 6 a.m. on Jan. 26, 2026, in the 5300 block of Virginia Beach Boulevard.

First responders arrived on scene transported the adult victim to an area hospital in critical condition.

The other driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation, VBPD said.
