Police said a pedestrian was hit by a dark-colored SUV on Diamond Springs Road on Tuesday night at approximately 10:09 p.m. The driver then fled the scene.
VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — Virginia Beach police said they are looking for the driver of a vehicle that hit a pedestrian and fled the scene Tuesday night.
Police said around 10:09 p.m., a dark-colored SUV that was traveling southbound struck a pedestrian in the 2100 block of Diamond Springs Road, near Lenox Drive and just off of Shore Drive.
The vehicle then fled the scene, but police added that the vehicle was last seen leaving the area near Lenox Drive.
Police are asking for anyone with information that could aid their investigation to contact the police department’s Special Operations Bureau at 757-385-4606 or to contact the Crime Solvers at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
A spokesperson with the police department said the pedestrian was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and is in stable condition.
