NORFOLK, Va. — Officials say a man has died after a crash on I-64 in Norfolk Sunday morning.

Virginia State Police (VSP) say around 9:15 a.m., troopers received a call about an overturned vehicle on the interstate near the Military Highway exit. When they arrived, troopers found a 2015 Honda CR-V overturned and partially submerged in water.

The driver, 72-year-old Fidel Enerva Villaluna of Virginia Beach, was taken to Norfolk Sentara General Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Investigations found that Fidel Villaluna ran off the roadway and overturned. VSP says speed and alcohol were not contributing factors in the crash.
