Two people are in “very serious condition,” Virginia Beach police told 13News Now.
VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — A crash involving multiple vehicles on Princess Anne Road at the intersection of Lynnhaven Parkway sent eight people to the hospital on Wednesday and temporarily blocked many lanes of traffic.
Virginia Beach police said all lanes of Princess Anne Road were blocked from Salem Road to South Independence Boulevard, and that nearby Ferrell Parkway had been closed from Pleasant Valley Road to Salem Road.
Later, they announced all lanes except for the left-hand turn lane on Lynnhaven Parkway, turning onto Princess Anne Road, had been reopened.
Police told a 13News Now photographer on scene that eight people had been taken to the hospital as a result of the crash, and that two were in “very serious condition.”
They also told 13News Now that Virginia Beach’s Traffic Safety Unit is investigating the cause of the crash.
